This year for Christmas, I decided that I wanted to make sure that each person on our gift exchange list got an item that was handmade or from a small business. As I’ve mentioned several times before, I ordered several copies of Whitney Ingram’s cookbook The Family Flavor for family members, because I mean really… you read someone’s blog for years, what’s a better way to share your love?
One of my favorite ways to celebrate the small businesses is through the wonder of Etsy! Without further ado, I’m just going to share some of my favorite shops!
I ordered some hair clips for Sylvi from this shop. Efrat is located in Israel, but even with the overseas shipping, I still had them in about two weeks! And check out these adorable reindeer clips… festive without being cheesy and they work great in Sylvi’s baby fine hair.
Sweetwater Scrapbook is one of my absolute most favorite shops out there. They sell some of the cutest kits for their projects… I’ll be sharing the results of some of those projects later in the week!
Not only are these bangles beautiful, I just thought it was the neatest thing that they are also set up in bangle sets! Fashion made easy!
Sweetest little wooden toys! I’m so excited for this gift for my cousin’s new baby!
Most of the washi tape that I use to decorate my packages, tags and cards is from this shop.
Can’t wait for these stocking stuffers to arrive!
Honeyrun Farm is located in Ohio so not only can I support small, I can support local!
Mmmm… Sarah Jane is an artist!
Not gonna lie… one of these with a handmade quilt… perfect!
My favorite thing about Bethany’s shop? She puts a non-slip strip inside the clips so they stay put in your little one’s hair!
At this point in the year, I’m done shopping for gifts, but I’m still crafting! There aren’t any good fabric stores close enough that I can run out and “just look” so I have been ordering my fabric choices on Etsy more and more. Several times I’ve asked for custom listing and I tell you… these people are the greatest and I usually have a response within the hour!
Have you signed up for the 2nd Annual Natural Parents Network Gift Guide and Giveaway? You need to check it out if you haven’t already and fill out the Rafflecopter to win! MANY excellent small businesses are featured and it’s just another way to celebrate the unique artisans who create for our families to enjoy!
This week I plan to share my holiday crafting before I need to attempt the cookie baking. Don’t forget to come back and check it out!
